When using an automatic system to access the vehicle the key is stored in a predetermined space in the car, the glove compartment for example. You identify yourself at the car which means you can go directly to the car and doesn't have to stop by a key locker or reception first. These automatic systems need GSM equipment to be installed in the cars so they can communicate with the booking system.
Another option is to use a central login station. In this option identification is done at the login station instead of at each individual car. This can be a very affordable solution if you have a lot of cars at the same location since equipment for identification doesn't have to be installed in every car.
For all our systems with automatic access to the car we recommend also reporting the driving log automatically. The reason being equipment for communication between the car and the booking system is already installed.
