Paper journal Driving logs are manually reported in the booking system. Usually the driver gets a paper driving journal to fill out when the car key is acquired. The data from the driving journal can then be input to the booking system by the driver or other personnel (provided they have the rights to do this).
Hand terminal When using a hand terminal the driver simple inputs km driven manually. The hand terminal is then connected to a computer which relays the data to the booking system. The hand terminal doesn't have to be emptied after each booking since it has very long battery life. The hand terminal can also be used for time reporting and similar functions.
