Driver's license, RFID smart card or Cell phone - Step by step:
A car is booked in the web based booking system.
The booking system sends out booking data to the car.
The car is accessed by:
a) Scanning your driver's license at a barcode reader located in the car.
b) Scanning your RFID smart card at a RFID reader located in the car.
c) Calling the car with your cell phone (free of charge).
The user enters the car, acquires the key from the glove compartment and uses the car. When using the car it is opened and locked with the car key as usual.
When the user wants to return the car the key is put back in the glove compartment and a button is pushed to return the car and lock it. There is a delay before the car is locked so the user may empty the car of their belongings.
All the above options can be combined with an interlock.
